07/23-25 : LEGACY Camp

This year, LEGACY was three days filled with learning, laughter, and bonding. LEGACY was held at school and was run by alumni of Waipahu High School. LEGACY is when all the class councils and SG gather to learn how to become good leaders not only for the school, but for the future of our communities. At LEGACY, we were challenged to find who we really are as both students and leaders through a series of activities -- some of these activities were fun and energetic, but some were intense and serious with an intent of instilling peace within the campers so that they can be good leaders. We were also given the chance to bond with our councils and were advised on how an effective and cooperative council should look like. LEGACY was where we faced and revealed our weaknesses, fears, and strengths, so that we can start off the new year fresh. LEGACY was a memorable experience that has a positive impact on the student leaders of Waipahu High School.

07/08: 2010-2011 SG Social

To get to know each other a little more, we had a SG social/bonding at Ala Moana. After feasting on our bentos, we had a scavenger hunt. Mrs. Takara gave us fourteen clues that led us to fourteen stores. We had to take something from the store without buying anything or taking pictures. In the end, two teams tied, earning themselves gift cards to Orange Grove. Though it was short, everyone had fun!
